1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
Description
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
Billed as “Americas Most Popular Mid-Size Car”, the second generation Chevelle was all that. It had muscle car appeal as well as family hauling appeal with 2-door, 4-door, wagons with a plethora of trim and option packages from 6-cylinder variants to to absolute beasts pushing 450 HP out of the box. These cars could also be modified heavily from certain builders and dealers that crushed it at the drag strip. This is a 402 Cubic Inch V8 with engine #T0211CTX/10A158602 mated to a Automatic Transmission with additional equipment like Power front disc brakes, cowl hood, a 12-bolt rear end and tach. This is a color change car, originally green over black, now a red over black. It appears to be a older body on restored car but done very well with still excellent paint and a nice looking original interior. Unfortunately these Chevelles with out a build sheet and original paperwork are nearly impossible to know with out a doubt that this car was built this way. We can take every measure to help a potential buyer out with any numbers we can pull off the car. One thing is for certain is that this beast starts perfectly, idles nicely and goes down the road even better with no noises, clunks or smoke, the steering and brakes are very tight and responsive and is very much a pleasure to drive.
